If you are getting fuel to the cylinders about the only thing that will keep a deisel from starting is lack of compression. Starting fluid should be used very sparingly. My geuss is you have broken rings, c common result of useing too much fluid. Hate to say but you are probably looking at a rebuild...

I tried registering with redpower, three times in fact. I can log on, but site will not let me post, then after about two days I can't log on and have to register again. Tried contacting the adminisrator, but no reply. So at this point I have given up on the site.

This may be unforgiveable. I recently purchased a International 500C trackloader. Anybody know of any sites similar to this dedicated to International crawlers?

Thought of this today while I was working on my own crawler from hell, it should have been done a week ago, but keep finding more things needing fixed. It did move today though, just few more minor things. But a few years ago a college student in Pittsburgh got a grant to build a house from scrap lu...

I've had good luck knocking bolts loose with an air chisel the pounding seems to really break rust seal. Works better than a impact wrench at times. Chews the head ot the bolt up pretty good, so once you start you're committed to thatr course on action.

R & R 1010 steering clutch

Redoing the right steering clutch on my 1010. Put in new fiber discs used the old drive plates as they met tolerances. When I bolted the pressure plate to the brake drum could not adjust the fingers properly, the are to low. Only way to get the right height adjustment is to back off the mounting bol...

Oil is not the problem with these clutch plates, it is rust. Today I cleaned the fiber plates with a buffing wheel and that worked pretty good. My concern with the steel plates and a parts tumbler was that it might leave a residue since it uses soap and some oil but they cleaned up very well.. Tomor...

cleaning clutch plates

Clutch plates on my 1010 are rusted, has anyone tried cleaning them in a parts tumbler? This would have a mild soap solution. Also what is the best method to clean the fiber plates?

I know first hand how easy it is to get overwhelmed running a small business. In my case I use my equipement to make a living, so being paitent isn't an option. When something breaks down I need running again as soon as possible. I can't wait days for a return call or email or weeks for a part to be...

I have tried contacting him several times over the last couple years. Only once did I talk to anybody, the woman, he never returned my call. Never responded to any voice messages or emails, so I've taken my business elsewhere. One thing I noticed on his gallery of parts machines I don"t think it has...
