Just trying to settle a bet. My buddy was trying to tell me it was hydro. I just picked up a 350D....3600 actual hours... factory winch that does not work and 2 things seem odd to me. The winch control lever is very easy to move up and down.. almost as if it is not even connected to the winch. I can...

350c vs 400g....Just what is the difference?

I've been trying to justify fixing my 350c dozer for over a year now and just when I thought I was ready to get started on it, I found a 400g that has caught my eye. How does the 400g stack up against the 350c?

Guys, I agree totally with the pay me now or pay me later point of view. My biggest problem now is the outrageous prices that deere wants for their parts. I know they haven't made the 350s in a long time, but $735 for a reverser shaft seems like a mighty proud price. I would like to rebuild so I cou...

Need Some Good Opinions...350c Reverser Rebuild

After taking the reverser apart, I discovered at least 1 1/2 cups of metal parts lying around. The roller bearing inside the Spider just wasn't there at all and one clutch plate and clutch disc was missing. The Shaft must be replaced for sure as well as the Spider and Hub. I am planning on replacing...

Lavoy was correct in diagnosis...350c reverser

Lavoy, you were right about the bearings in the reverser. They were trashed to the point where it messed up a few clutch plates. The splines on the reverse end of the reverser shaft are almost sharp enough to cut you and the shaft tappers down a lot. I found evidence of a previous catastroffic failu...

I too have thought about doing that to my 350c as my alternator seems to have the same problem. Let us know how it works out if you decide to do it.

Thanks for the replies. I've never done anything more than lubrication duties on my 350c and I'm not much of a mechanic in general, but I'm going to tear into it soon. I'm hoping to pick up a tech manual before I get started on it as I'm sure that would be an invalueable asset to this project. I'll ...

350c that has been well used. With engine running, there is a lot of ginding noise coming from the rear of the engine/front of the reverser.

More info on Reverser problems...

I had posted earlier about having some sort of problem with the reverser. When shifting reverser into forward, the motor would quit, just as if it was in two gears at once. Now I have discovered that it makes NO difference if the transmission is in gear or in NEUTRAL, it still acts as if it is in tw...

350c. The reverser works in reverse but there is a heck of a noise coming from the trans or the reverser. Sounds like something has come loose and is banging and thumping like crazy. Regardless of gear selection, when you put the reverser in neutral, it still pulls in reverse. If you put the reverse...

350c Trans or reverser problem...

Shifting from reverse to forward, the motor died instantly as if in two gears at the same time. Put reverser in neutral and it started but dozer started backing up. I pushed in on the foot clutch but it still pulled in reverse. Only way to stop it with motor running was to pull both cutting clutches...

I may be interested in tech and parts manuals for 350c dozer. Do you have an estimated price yet?

Thanks,

Looking: 350C Front Idlers...

I need a couple front Idlers for my 350C.

Local dealer is a little pricey I think.

Anyone know of a good place?

Thanks for the info. I saw the chart under the arm rest but it has paint overspray bad enough that you can't read it. Guess I will try to clean it off and get a manual.
