I think the only way possible would be setting the new sprocket inside the chain and then bolt the sprocket/chain on together...but don't see how maneuvering/positioning all that weight would be possible.

Then again, I've not seen how worn your chain is!

I did complete Berco SALT chains and sprockets on my 450 for about $3200 several years back. You could probably get those hours with new sprockets...dunno how bad your chains are though, so it's simply a guess that they have some realistic life still in them. At best, you will simply ruin new sprock...

Hmmm...many more folks here surpass my limited understanding of this issue, but seems if it was simply water with no oil, you may be OK. Wouldn't just using the machine help to dry it out (friction/heat)?

I believe series IV machines have an upgraded transmission. They have no clutch pedal. When you press the decelerator fully it clutches and stops all movement. My Dad does not like our older 450G for this reason, you either need to clutch or shift to neutral to stop, plus he does not like pedal ste...
