I am kind of hurting on used track stops, especially if it is an MC or 3 roller 40. I have a few shims on hand, am planning on making them some day, just need to find the time.

Steve,
Double check your tooth count just to be safe, I had one just a couple of weeks ago that did not jive with the parts manual. When you get time, send me an e-mail, I don't always catch the posts here.

I would seriously question his 40MPG, I don't think used motor oil has any more BTU's per gallon than diesel fuel.

I have used shafts on hand, that is no problem.
Linings have been obsolete for years. I sell new complete bands for $150/each.

I ran the crawler a little bit today, to see how the tach worked. I checked it against my phototach, and it is dead on the money. If rotation and gear ratio are the same, there should be no reason this would not work in a 1010 or 2010 as well.

I think it is like 3 3/8", it is a common dimension, should bolt right in your 2010. There are different gear ratios, don't know how to tell what you would need though. I spun a factory two cylinder tach with a drill, and then spun this one, and they read the same. I had another NOS tach out of a se...

No, it is a replacement tach made by Stewart Warner, I get it from a local supplier.

Steel discs are .093, fibers .151, there is no spec on the stack, there should be 7 fibers and 6 steels per side. If the pinon shaft cover was backing off, that might have an effect, but not that great. You need to pull the final apart and see if any damage was done to shafts and gears if it was run...

Derek,
No dipstick, so to make it work, you will have to cut a hole in the hood to put oil in.

Stretch,
I played around and got one of your pics to work, good thing Bill knows what he is doing, I sure don't.
The old girl looks great, love the engine side shields, they are a seldom seen option. I think most of the guys took them off to do something, and never put them back on.

That must be without weights, I know a 420 with a 90 loader weighs 9,000lbs, so I would think a 1010 should add almost a ton to that.

Derek,
I don't remember the post, but make sure that the engine has the RH dipstick or you will have to cut a hole in the hood.
Not much you can tell on a non-running engine other than pull the head and look at the bores.
