Jay No that would be mild steel so it can take the stress an flexing . Hight carbon steel would be on the tracks , pins, rollers, wear plates on the bucket and teeth. Jay . My 350 will unload any pressure with the spring on the track adjuster, it shouldn't through a track if evey thing is working right an the adjustment is ok.

There is no cheep crawer, Look on E Bay. I'm always looking around for old Jd crawers, acutally some brought in a 450 70 model 1/2 mile from my retirement home looks to be repaireable . It has a winch off to the side not shure why . good luck

Rodger . It sound like both seals are blown out on the adjusters. I rebuilt both adjuster. One was froze up bad, but they both hold an had only to adjust them after rebuild . The job is feirley simple after the track is removed.

Model 3J4121 case it has 8 inch bucket , It will be good for planting trees ,an setting fence polls. The crawer came with 93 A hoe 24 inch bucke That is burte and to heave for counter weight.

I had 1 missing snap ring also. I used a 3 inch piston ring that was the same thickness .
