Re: JD440 IC flush the hydraulics
I have read several articles/members using Seafoam with good results. There is a lot of fluid in the cylinders and hoses that will need purged.

Re: To paint or not to paint
I prefer original paint. If a machine is re-painted, I would wonder what is under the paint. I would partially judge the quality of the machine based on the quality of the re-paint. I have seen many trader machines where everything is painted, hoses, wires, filters etc... I always thought those jobs...

Re: Carrier roller on 450C
No need to split the track. You may have enough slack that you can lift or jack the track off the upper idler. If not, you may let a little grease out of the front idler tensioner. Best regards.

May have accidentally left one out. I have read a thread about that very situation. Doubtful here, since both sides were done. Keep us posted.

Re: JD 350 left side track barely drives
The PO could have put the wrong # of disks back in the clutch pack. One less disk would cause your symptoms, also.

Re: JD 350 left side track barely drives
Water in the clutch housing typically causes lots of corrosion and swollen disks. This will cause the clutch to lock up. Some people buy inexpensive disks to lower the price of their rebuild. The center of the cheaper disks can be tore out and cause problems like you are describing. Either way the l...

Re: JD 350 left side track barely drives
Good afternoon, You mentioned the right side was rebuilt (I assume this was done by the prior owner). Did they do any work on the left side? It has been my experience in the crawler world that one side is not far behind the other side. If adjusted properly by the manual and no prior work, I would ex...

Re: 3315 winch mounting
I say raise the rear end up(to prevent oil from pouring out) and let us see what is under the cover. I have thought the shaft splines were the same as a "small 1,000 RPM shaft".

Re: 3315 winch mounting
Time to back the crawler on a RR tie and remove the three bolts/cover to see what equipment you have in your crawler. If there is a 21 spline shaft under the cover that sticks out about 2", all you need is the coupler. If not you will need a complete winch drive (couple hundred to $500).

Re: 3315 winch mounting
Good morning, Here is the on line Deere model/parts search link. https://partscatalog.deere.com/jdrc/search Search your series of 350. I assume 350 b/c the 3315 will only fit a 350. Tap on the winch section and go to gears and shafts. The splined couple is available at Deere, pricey, but available. ...

Re: 350c winch install
Another option, use a filter assembly off a 3325 winch? Jkequipment may have some used winch parts.
