Moving Dirt on a hill
I'm trying to help a guy out with a building site for his shop. He is wanting to place it on a hill that is about 5 feet out of level. He wants to dig out the top of the hill and he does not care that it's going to need a retaining wall in the future and fill the bottom of the hill and again add a r...

Concrete thickness
I'm going to build a bay to work on my little 450c loader in my next barn. I know some people leave it gravel so the tracks do not break down the concrete does anyone have any success with actual concrete that will stand up? I was wondering about pouring something 6 or 8" but I hate to waste the mon...

I've had my 450c with no hoe on the scales and she sits a touch over 16,000. I've got the rear counterweight which you probably do not because of the hoe but I still bet you are 17,000 to 18,000. As others have said there are many options that effect it. Mine has a canopy and that adds close to 500 ...

Voltage Regulator
I think my Motorola voltage regulator has died. I have read several articles about converting to a 1 wire alt but what about just using a run of the mill voltage regulator? I think the motorola one is about 150 bucks and a car one is less than 20 bucks. They have the same hook up field, stator, etc....

Yes the belly pan will come off. My 450c Has a junction point about half way back on the loader. My leak was up front in the nose area. I pulled the nose and the belly pan and was able to get a new braided hydraulic hose to replace that section. When my leak started it was small enough I was able to...

I would say I use 2nd gear in my 450C over 60% of the time. IMHO that is my most important gear. I use 1st for pushing over larger trees etc and loading on the trailer 2nd for most all digging and loading 3rd for long haul of loading and very light digging 4th for road trips to get ice cream..... Gr...

2010 for sale
This is not mine, don't know this person from Adam. It's in my local CL and looks like a bargain but I'm not as familiar with the older models.

I did not lift the loader. I used my bars to lock the loader arms up, removed the nose and then I just crawled around under it. The rear bolts are kinda hard to get too because of the counterweight but very doable. Including taking the nose off it probably took me an hour to get it tore down. I did ...
