One other item on the controller. If the brass bushing around the handle shaft needs to be replaced, use Loctite 603 on the bushing. The replacement bushing may not be a tight fit if the casting hole is worn. The 603 will seal the bushing to the casting so the fluid does not leak from the reservoir....

Does anyone have a close-up picture or dimensions for the closure plate located on the clutch/brake side and in front of the cover plate? It is held on by two bolts to the winch mounting flange.

Starting in on a rebuild of a Gearmatic 8a winch. Anyone have a source for a PTO gear - Gearmatic #1254, located in the adaptor plate? This one is missing some teeth, something a tube of Fixodent wont help with.
