Nice

Nice machine...with a reverser and a three-point...lucky man. Wish the reverser on mine had not been too far gone to fix. I'd worry more about the brush smacking my head then the birds...

Thanks

Thanks for the appreciation. It was quite a project bring it back. I forgot to add, the uprights on the fenders are bolted through to 6" long pieces of 5x5x1/2" angle iron which is bolted to the side frames. The set up in back of the finals worked out well. The little arch is for dragging logs. The ...

1960 440 IC Dozer with/ROPS

After reading the ROPS thread thought I would post a couple pics of my 440 with brush cage I built. It is made from 2" schedule 80 pipe. Roof is plated in 1/4" plate as are all the gusetts. Bolted and braced to finals with 1/2 in plate. Winch is 8000 pound Ramsey driven by a PTO driven hydraulic pum...

NOS John Deere Model 63 Blade MoldBoard For Sale

Hi Guys, I have a Model 63 Blade for sale. No frame or push arms, just the blade and pivot mechanism. This blade shows practically no wear on any surface including the mounting holes for the push arms. The tilt wedges are intact and appear to never have been hit to set them. It has been painted at s...

power blade thoughts/pics

Hi Sam, I actually drove down and looked at that 59 440 in the pics. It has to be one of the nicest old machines I've seen. Anyway, I looked over his factory power six-way. I took a bunch of rough measurements and Scott sent me some pics. Andrew who is also on the forum sent me pics of his 350 power...

Thanks

Hi Brad,

Thanks for the offer but thats not it. Your blade is a #63 same as my current one. That is one rugged looking brush cage and push bars. Hope the project is coming along well.

Hi Everybody, I'm looking to build a #64 style power angle blade for my 1960 440. If anyone here happens to have one and would not mind taking some pictures and measurements I would sure appreciate it. I have an old 63 blade which will be the start of my project. Any other pics of home made power an...

PTO driven hydraulic pump?

Hi Lavoy, I have a Ramsey hydraulic winch mounted on my 440. I had been running it of of a crankshaft driven pump. The old pump failed and I decided to replace it with once driven off the PTO. This way, I only run the pump when I need the winch and avoid alot of heat and use of power. My question is...
