The master pin has the mushroom head and C-clip, like Lavoy said. My pin mushroom head also was not round, but flattened on one side to fit in the groove to keep from spinning. Look at my site "2010 repair" and see how I removed the pins. I derailed the tracks, layed them on the side and juiced up w...

Thank You
Dear Readers, I woud like to extend a thank you for viewing my site. It topped 10,000 hits, which makes it one of the top popular sites on the forum. Pictures go a long way. Who would have ever thought? Unfortunately, the dozer looks the same as the last few shots. It already loaded 140 ton of compo...

I assume the steering clutches for the 1010 is similar to the 2010. If so, then look at my post "2010 Repair" for pictures of the clutches removed, opened up, assembled and installed. There is a brake band positioning screw under the clutch housing that keeps the brake band in correct placement arou...

Thanks you for all the compliments. I went into detail to show people you do not need a fancy shop or $1,000's worth of tools to get the job done. I still have more pics to post. The seat is done and mounted up. It sits real nice and cushy. I need to finsh the bucket paint job and get the final deca...

I am not sure how similar the 2010 is to the 1010. My 2010 has the regulator above the fan between the fuel tank and radiator. Look up under the hood to see if that is the location. Disconnect all the wires to the generator to see if the sparks stop. If so, then the generator is the short. If the sp...

There are several ways to put the track on. Mostly depends on how loose and how far back the front wheel is adjusted. If you set the track so it rolls about 1/3 of the way up the rear sprocket, that leaves you a few top cogs to catch the other end of the track. We man-handled the track up over the f...

I drove the dozer out of the barn, after tightening up the tracks, to put fuel in her. On the way back, she did not respond to my steering commands and headed right for the clover field for a quick romp. http://i836.photobucket.com/albums/zz289/pammark/YELLOW30.jpg She went this way and that way and...
