350 vs 350b same or different?
I have a chance to buy a 1973 JD 350 Don't have a serial number. My question : is there a difference between a 350 and a 350 B ? The machine does not have any decals that are visible and the serial number tag is missing. The owner is asking 3900.00 for it, which i think is a reasonable price he stat...

I don't know the procedure indicated in the service manual of the 350, but on many of the JD indirect injected diesel engines you generally bleed the system in the direction of flow- i.e. usually you first bleed the filters, then bleed the injectors to completely remove the air. If you bleed the in...

Final drive oil or "hydraulic" ?
On a 450 B regarding the final drives, the operators manual say's to drain and flush w/ diesel fuel than refill with 303 oil. I assume they are speaking of "Hydraulic fluid" is this correct ? The same is mentioned for the transmission as well, excluding the flushing with diesel. I don't want to make...

Dry steering clutches are not deficient or inferior in any way to wet clutches; they just have different advantages/disadvantages. The key is to use the machine often enough to keep them limber, as they tend to start sticking when left to sit. Richard's advice about keeping out of the rain is also ...

Just bought a 1970 450BA need some advice.

and it has seen better days, but it does have a strong engine.

450 J.D. Need advice on price
Hi, I'm new to JD Crawlers and have a question, I'm looking to buy a 450 J.D. track loader. The machine will be used to do small jobs around the farm and maintain my driveway, so it won't see a lot of use, maybe a hundred hours a year if that. I found a 450 BA online, the price is $6500.00 and $1250...
