Re: MC grinding noise
I would pull the trans top cover first and see if you see or can feel any other bad bearings or gears. If so, only way to fix is complete tear down til you only have the trans case left, then rebuild the trans.

Re: Undercarriage?
Sprockets are more likely to be worn by the tracks, not the other way around. If one is shot, both are likelly shot.

Re: MC grinding noise
If it quits when the clutch pedal is pushed in, that is normally the input shaft bearing that is shot, but could be other bearing/s in the trans as well.

Fitting is silver soldered or crimped in, it should not turn.

Andy,
You have an immediate need for the pieces, I don't, I'm just working on future projects.

Re: 350B with rockshaft- backhoe mount?
To add to what Bruce said, it also has to be a hoe mount, not just the regular "J" hooks that hold a set of counterweights. Hoe mounts have a lot more steel to them as far as attaching forward to withstand the torque of a hoe. Bruce, I need a set of draft and drop links if you want to sell them. Lavoy

Re: 420b timing
Yes and no. The distributor itself, no, but if you had the oil pump out, then you could have installed it in the wrong position., which would cause the distributor to be in the wrong position.

Re: tips on changing reverser fluid & filter on 1010c diesel
IF the fluid appears otherwise decent, I probably wouldn't flush it. IF it has not been changed since new, I would be inclined to use it for a time period and change it again.

The most significant harm you can do to these crawlers is ignore required maintenance.

Neither should be that tight. Polish the tube, and the inside of the carrier, that should do it. If not, I would guess the tube is damaged.

My supplier closed their doors during Covid, so I don't have a source as of right now. Might be something you can find online, but it will be long sticks, so truck freight only.
