Just wanted to say, I am new to this sight and can not get enough of it. I wish I would have found it earlier. Its nice to know that i'm not the only nut who is crazy about JD crawlers. I really enjoy seeing pics of everbodys projects and reading about thier adventures.

When I took the final drives out of my 1010, I took the whole track frame off wich in turn allows you to pull the final strait out without turning it. The reason I did it that way was there were quite a few broken bolts from the rock guards and I took the track frame to a weld shop and he cut out th...

1010 vs 450

Major difference between the two. A 450 is twice the machine of a 1010, no doubt about it. I have a 1010 but have run several different 450s and there is a major difference. As far as stumps go they sometimes are real buggers ,even with something bigger than a 450. It is much easier to dig the whole...
