Re: JD 350B Steel Hydraulic line
Yeah they seem to do us right. I have a hydraulic press to do my own compression fittings, but find it easier to take my hoses to them and have them recrimped. Most of the time, I can't buy fittings cheap enough (that I trust) to justify doing my own work. I do like to buy two piece fittings so I ca...

Re: JD 350B Steel Hydraulic line
My local hydraulic shop would be about $60 for a 8' hose with fittings.

Re: JD 350B Steel Hydraulic line
I would replace the hard line with a flexible hose. Maybe even run it all the way to the cylinder.
You could also cut and slip a compression fitting on and make the needed repair.

Re: 450 Frame Question
If you added the new bushing would it hurt anything? Sounds like it would help with snugness and prevent potential wear in that location.

Re: 350 B Reverser
Thanks! I wanted to follow up and say thanks for all the help and advice. I got the crawler back together this week and she is now under her own power again. The reverser works perfect the transmission shifts well and both finals brake and disengage properly! The clutches surprised me because it has...

Re: 450 Straight Throw Out Bearing
I recently had a similar issue with a winch bearing...I ended up heating it with a torch. You could also use a puller or hit it with a hammer. You'll probably be replacing the bearing anyway, so a bit of force wont hurt anything you will be reusing. A little bit of movement in any direction will do ...

Re: 450 Straight Throw Out Bearing
I would try to shoot some grease in it...a grease gun hose works great as a replacement hose. It's a 1/8" fitting so you could just remove the hose tip and attach the threaded fitting, from the grease gun, directly to where the missing hose should go. You could also screw a alemite in there to get i...

Yeah I'm really dissatisfied with how that looks. It has one tooth broken on the bottom side of the shaft as well. That will need to be replaced.

Re: 350 B Reverser
I got the transmission split off the rest of the crawler today...had to hook my winch to the front of the dozer while I lifted and pulled the transmission and final drives off. Otherwise the entire machine was sliding when I attempted to remove the rearend. The service manual recommends removing the...

Yeah that's severe wear...another issue all together.
Yeah it's tore down so it's pretty simple to pull the reverser now. I have located an entire clutch assembly and may switch it back to a straight 350...
