FYI, you'll need to drain the fluid from the transmission before you can remove the plate or the sensor. That area is well below the fill level. Or be very fast replacing the sensor.... 77 Ford, Thank you, None of the manuals I've seen are very clear as to it's location. I was looking in that area because I saw a loose wire hanging there as well no doubt that is where it might be. I'll look and report back.

Hello all, new to the board. Have the manuals but have yet to find the location of the trans temp sensor for the gauge on dash. Can anyone please point me in the correct location.
