Axle removal
Okay, last night I built a puller. I took a piece of 3/8" steel about 3"x8" and cut holes to match the holes on the bearing quill. I cut the centre out to allow access to the shaft and cut notches into the ends for the legs of my puller. I used 7/16" cap screws and attached the puller legs to the no...

1010 Final Drive
I built a puller (pusher) for the axle according to the service manual. After I removed the pipe plugs, I found that the threaded holes in the bull gear do not line up to allow the threaded legs of the puller to screw in. They are just off ever so much. Has anyone else ever found this? What about us...

1010 ongoing woes
My 1010 is trying depsperately to transform itself into a parts machine. Last night I took the drive pinion out of the final drive and the bearings fell out. The pinion gear itself is chipped on every tooth and from what I can see of the bull gear, not good. I can move the bull gear back and fort in...

Clutch drive shaft tube
I remember reading on the old board about using a stainless steel tube for the steering clutch release bearing to slide on. Since it looks like mine is going to get destroyed getting it un-siezed, are these available, Lavoy?

1010 Steering Clutch
I got the LH final drive off my 1010. The release bearing carrier is frozen to the shaft, I think I can deal with that. The disks all came out relatively easily. There does not appear to be any sign of oil soaking but there is alot of rusty, crappy looking stuff. All of the fibres show .151 which is...

14" 2-bolt pads
I have a set of "2-bolt" 14" grouser pads from a 440 that I would trade for a rebuildable 4-bolt rail from a 1010. Have shoes-will travel!
Thanks

1010C manual
Hello, I have an original 1010C operator's manual for a 1010C gas crawler below S/N about 20,000. It discusses dash-shift model. I would be willing to trade for one from a late model crawler (42,000 and on up) I also have an extra 1010C parts book that I would trade someone fer. I don't really like ...
