lift cylinder 831 loader

Hi next problem for me is leak on lift cylinder, see 2 o rings in parts diagram,are they what usually are bad ,or do u normally haft to go father down shaft to stop leak thanks john

You have to take the cylinder apart to replace any of them, so replace all of them while you have it apart.

The kits might be obsolete now, so you will have to get each individual piece.

kit is obsolete,is it a tough job,are there any springs that are going to fly apart.Can a novice take it apart and fix it or should it be taken to shop thanks john

The hardest part of rebuilding the cylinders in my opinion is getting the big net loose. You have to stabalize the shaft, but you cannot scratch it or you will create more potential leaks.

1 side is losse the other i have tried hammer and screwdriver but it will not budge wondering about heat got my adjusters working with heat will i hurt anything heating up nut on end of cylinder.Thanks john

Not sure I would want to use heat, even though you are replacing all of the seals and O-rings. Others folks may differ.
The big nut that I am referring to is the one on the inside end of the ram rod. It can be a bear if it has never been off.
