This is our 1010 C gasser.......... When the engine is running , idle, or 3/4 throttle, the blade leaks down from the highest position to the ground in time frame of 20/30 secs...............Any ideas of what could cause this? ? ?
Thanks , Dennis..........(dirt mover,not a mechanic)[/img]

That sort of leak-down is just about always caused by one or both of the hydraulic cylinder packings leaking.

Sandman,
You will have to get the part numbers for the cylinders from the BLADE manual/partslist. It probably will not be in the crawler manual.
Search the JDParts website after you figure out which model number blade you have. You can get the parts (and part numbers) from Lavoy or take your cylinder to a hydraulic shop to get the parts as they are all standard items I believe.

Chuck, That's a great idea, thanks ,. Ya , I need a third hand , as to drive the tractor and hold the blade off the ground at the same time !
Thanks ; Sandman92284

That looks to be a # 610 or # 612 dozer. Either one uses two leather cups on each cylinder - 3" bore. Kind of oddball as compared to newer stuff with Chevron packings.
Kit from Deere is AU11991 (one per cylinder). Each packing (two per cylinder) is U10135.
