Great web site have been reading for past couple weeks
I have recently aquired a 1960 440 ICD with blade - starts great, runs good, and overall a great machine (not a bunch of Hrs) everthing is in great shape.
I have been out pushing snow and boy can you push a lot.
So far I think it needs a Little TLC and some minor adjustments
All the fluids need to be changed Engine, Reverser, Transmission
I have Ordered all the Manuals on Cd
I just took the Hood off to check on a couple of leaks and some electrical issues and found that the cast piece that supports the front of Fuel Tank, and is bolted to back of engine and has the Fuel Filter is mounted right side.
This piece is broken (cracked) and I think is repairable (Filter hanging off right side casting has blind hole in it, with no hole in hood on right side to support this cast piece)
It Looks like to me it should be fastened to the hood on the right side to support the weight of the fuel filter.
Has this been a issue with any one else
I don't think it would be hard to drill a hole in the hood to aid in the support of the Fuel Filter
Look forward to reading and learning more about these crawlers
