My bucket was in the down position and the arms for the bucket are in the way. My solenoid snapped off internally and it was very difficult to get it off. If you could raise your arms it should come off easily.

i have a 2010 and it should be about the same,on mine ( diesel) you have to take the fuel filters off two nuts and the main cable and the smaller wires and it should come right out the top
2010 with 622 dozer with mod. 35 ripper and a 2010 with 622 dozer bought in 1969 and a 2010 loader with drott and mod. 36 ripper
