i had to replace the water temp gauge with an after market one, on my jd 440 1cd. the new gauge has a sensor that needs to be in contact with the coolant in the motor.
i cant find where this would be out, does any one have any ideas.

IT SHOULD GO WERE THE ORIGIONAL WAS. ON MY 40 IT GOES ON THE BACK OF THE HEAD BY THE FUEL TANK. HOPE IT HELPS

i seen something there, but the original sensor was removed and a plug has been inserted. i wasnt sure if that is the correct spot, but i am gonna check it out
