Attachments for Crawlers

Post by jdcollector » Mon Jun 29, 2009 12:12 pm

I'm new to the Crawler side of tractors and looking at purchasing my first 420C. I have been looking through the past posts on the web site and don’t think that I have really seen any of them that are about the optional attachments that were available for crawlers. If anyone has any pictures I think it wold be a great idea to start some kind of database, if there is not one I don’t know about already, for all the possible options that were available. This way people new to the crawlers can see what we might have and others might find something that they might want to have as an option on their crawlers. Just a thought though…

Correct it would be a neat deal, problem as always is time. If you include all of the aftermarket items, I probably have 100 pages or more of attachments and such that went on the two cylinder crawlers.

Well, why not start by letting everyone post pictures of what they currently have so others like me (who don't know anything) can see what all is out there? I bet somethings will pop up that most people did not even know exist...

That has been in place since this board was created, it is called the Show and Tell section. There are also some pics of various models in the pics pages on the main website.

Anyone out there know where I can find information on a No. 62 Blade for my 420C that I am getting? Also, I am looking for a set of lift links for the 3pt hitch on it also...

You can still order 62 blade parts manuals from Deere, maybe the operators manual too.
I can make the top half of the drop links new, the yokes are obsolete, and almost impossible to find.

I called the John Deere Manual people and they could not find a parts book or operators manual for the 62. Does anyone happen to know the part number for these books? That way maybe they could find them in their system....

If you can get a book for a 62 blade I want one too! Try searching eBay, sometimes they have reprints of manuals available for things like that.

3 point hitch was a rare option on 420 crawlers so you are off to a good start. I'd like to be able to pull plows (most are 3-pt mounted) with mine but only have a drawbar.

If there something you want to know about the blade you can just ask us.

Part # for the 62 operators manual is OM-D47-258. The manual is 24 pages it shows you operation and parts break down and part #'s of the blade. An original manual may be hard to find but a reproduced should be fairly easy. The part for the 3 point i might have but are expensive do you just need the lift links?

Thank you for the part # for the manual. The lift links and the top link are the only pieces that I am missing for the 3-pt hitch. I believe that I have everything else.
