I don't know what was stock for that gas 1010 crawler, but I assume it is somewhere in the 700 CCA range. I have a 2010 diesel crawler and use a Group 31 tractor battery with somewhere around 950 CCA and have pretty good performance.

I would suggest getting a good name brand battery with the largest CCA you can get so you have good starting power in cold weather. Just make sure it is 12V and will fit in the battery tray.

I'm on the west coast in Oregon, and i found that that many of the ordinary auto and tire places have a skinny RV quality battery that fits perfect. I have one in my small motor home that has a Ford E 350 chassis. The regular deep cycle batteries are too fat and rest on top of the steering levers. :(
