hey all
think my old 1965 1010c dozer gas engine has gone south i'm wondering what engines will bolt up to my bell housing it is a manual with no reverser, i have a line on a 1966 450 gas which so far looks to be the same block, any thoughts on this.....i do not know what exactly happened but i think it seized, stopped suddenly now will not turn over, even though i had decent oil pressure...

450 and 2010 are completely different engines, about the only similarity is they are diesel and 4 cylinders. I have never heard or any other engine that is compatible other than the 1010/2010 series of engines and the same engines used in tractors and combines.

Yes, 450's were made both gas and diesel in the early years.
