Will a 420 radiator fit a 1010

Post by killzoneq2 » Wed May 12, 2010 8:24 pm

My radiator is officially shot. the rad guy said that it is crumbling in the cores and not worth fixing. He can recore it for $370.00 but im not wantint to drop that dime yet. I found a 420 recored for a 420. WIll this fit or is it capible to make fit.. FAB it in? Once i get the cooling system sealed, i can drive this thing around and hop the right steering clutch comes free.. If not how hard are the steering clutch pak to get out? Can I use gasket paper, form- a -gasket or other gasket stuff? love a JD and a Chevy!!!!

No, 420 radiator will not. $370 is a good price, I would do it that way.

To replace the clutch pak I would suggest that you get a service manual. If you follow the procedure it goes very well. The most challenging part is rotating the final drive to clear the track rail
