Integral Lift Cylinder -- Lift Shaft seal replacement
Integral Lift Cylinder -- Lift Shaft seal replacement
I have a three-roller 40C with Integral Lift Cylinders. Can leaking Lift Shaft O-rings be replaced by just pulling the shaft out of the cylinder housing without having to take the entire cylinder assembly apart? Thanks in advance.
Lavoy,
Thanks for your response. Two more questions:
1) As I would like to do this with the cylinders still mounted on the crawler, to keep the crank arm and spacer from falling down into the lift cylinder's casting, seems like some sort of alignment shaft will have to be used to follow the lift shaft while it is being pulled out, yet be small enough to get remove the O-rings (assuming the O-ring groove is in the casting). Is this correct?
2) I have two parts manuals covering the 40C crawlers but neither have a parts breakdown for this cylinder assembly -- what are the part numbers for these two O-rings or where do you get them?
