Tracks and sprockets are off, but I am having trouble with the draw bar hollow dowels, seems that I cant get the 5/8 cap screw in far enough to withstand the punch and hammer. Can these come out after seperation of case?
Next- I noticed that there are two holes on the forward leading edge of the final drive case(on both sides of crawler) that look like they should have bolts in them, but dont. Are they missing or are those holes for something else. Seems like a dumb question, but both sides are missing.
Brake band adjustment bolt?- In my manual it shows some kind of wrench, but on my crawler it appears that the adjustment is a star shaped nut head. Is there a special tool for this nut?, and will the case come off with out slacking the bolt?
Thanks again for all your help.
I am not much of a mechanic, but this is turning out to be quite rewarding.
cant wait to tally up the cost when I discover the need for all the parts.

Lavoy,
Thanks for the info. on the finals. Tomorrow should be a great day if I can get the yolk made.
New question. Any trick to getting the lugs off of the sprockets. Right side went well, noticing the it had 6 lugs(!/2"-9/16) and three (7/8).
Thinking the other side would be as easy, I noticed that it only had the 6 lugs of which are so tight, I broke one off and rounded the next..So now I am in the market for a six point socket instead of the twelve point.
Tried heat, but didn't seem to make a differance.
Side note: I tried to turn the engine over and bent two push rods. Are you the parts man. I will also be needing an engine gasket set.
Thanks
Dana
