I am just SW of Fargo. One of the rivers that is flooding is a thousand feet from my house. Fortunately in 95 they started a diversion project that lowers the level of the river by my place enough that is does not flood here anymore. In 97 when we had the big flood, if you went just 3 miles South of where I live now, there was 50 square miles or more of water going South.
I was West of town yesterday, and there is no snow left to the West, so there is not a lot of water left to come in so that should shorten the crest. They did up all of the warnings and the crest level a couple of days ago, didn't catch the news last night so have not heard the latest.
