Howdy folks... I am considering buying a parts machine thats 280 miles away... but am stuck on what it might weigh. It's a 2010C, missing the diesel engine and a few other parts. I have read on here that most people say the machine is about 6.5ton, or 12,500lb. Would it be fair to say the engine is 1500lb and it would be around 11,000 total?
All I really need is the tracks from this machine, as I am going to cut out 4 links and put them on my 1010 4 roller, that has 32 links. I figure if I am driving that far, he is selling the machine at scrap value and I should take advantage of it. Are the 2010 sprockets the same as the 1010's also? Here are some picture of the machine. Any advice would be appreciated!
Thanks again folks!
Dustin

You probably should make sure that this is an early (pre-42,000) 2010 so the pin/bushing diameters are same size as a 1010- the late 2010s had pin/bushing diameters same as a 350. I would say they are the early tracks based on the photos but sometimes hard to tell without measuring or looking at part number on the sprocket.
The bushings look like they have a little wear, but the rail height looks good. Sprockets also look like in good shape.
I may be interested in a few parts if you do purchase, depending on your location.

Thanks for the guestimate weight Levoy... he wants $900 for it so that would be fair if scrap is $265 a ton right now.
He wants $350 for the tracks, and i gota cut um off myself. Any idea what the weight would be on just tracks? I imagine they are less than a thousand pounds each. It would easier to take a smaller vehicle and trailer being that its a 600 mile round trip.
Anyone interested in parts, let me know the part and what its worth to you and i might take the while thing if its worth my while.

We are leaving in the morning to cut/break/bend/jump and pry the tracks off of that 2010. For a practice exersize, we took the bad track off of my 1010 today.... Then loaded all of those tools into the truck for tomorrows adventure!
If there are any easy to get at parts anyone needs, let me know by about noon tomorrow and maybe I can get it off or cut it off with a torch.
Would the bottom rollers be different from a 1010 to 2010? 2 of mine rock back and forth and might need replacing.
Thanks for the help folks!
