All the junk I run is so worn out the fluid spec is the least of my concerns, lol.
Hydo: That's why I was running 20w oil; It's used in the crankcase and the hydraulics so I could buy in volume and always have the right stuff for those needed top-offs. As my machine is worked on and has gotten tighter, I'm trying more job specific lubricants - so far so good. I've switched to 15-40 motor oil per some recommendations here, and I'll try hydraulic oil when I change the existing fluid next summer.

Good approach. I just changed the 12yram old motor oil out for 10w40- generic brand from tractor supply. I figured at less than 2000 rpms this thing probably does not need synthetic. I will probably change it in around 20 hrs for thegrade you are using. I went with 80w90 for the trans, finals and winch.
