If putting air into that tube does not lock up the clutch tight- you've got internal problems. The "air test" is something you always should do before installing.

Even with an internal leak should fluid still not be flowing to cooling lines and electric sending unit ? :(

I would assume it has to be pump related, either the pump is not working, or something is preventing it from getting oil, or it is not priming for lack of a better term.

ok, thanks . Would it be a good idea to have a machine shop resurface the face of the gears along with sealing edge of the pum,p body and cover ?

I would check the clearance with Plastigauge first.
