I am looking for suggestions on how repair the following issue.
I have a hole in the front area of my radiator. The hole is about as big around as small nail. The good news is that it is in the top tank area, not a leak in the fin area.
What is the best/easiest way to repair this hole?
JB Weld? Try to solder it? Any other products that you have used that worked well?

Drain the radiator down and clean the area around the hole.
Silver solder works very well. Be sure to use flux.
Do not over heat!!
There are low temperature solders available with a flux that changes color when at the right temp.
I have a heat crack repair that has held for several years with solder.

Can you get a damp/wet rag inside the radiator to back up the soldering? That would help catch or keep a pellet of solder from ending up inside your radiator and taking up residence. Just a thought. Good luck with your repair. Paul

Duke & Paul,
Thank you both for your suggestions.
I have settled on liquid steel. It has a PSI rating of 3,000 and a temp rating of 600 degrees F. I hope my 2-53 does not get close to that temp.
I have room to go through the neck and place something as a backboard to keep anything from going down in to the working part of the rad and stopping it up.
