I just purchased a 1010.Can you tell me where the serial number is located so I can figure out the year?Thanks.

/According to Tractordata it is on the right side on the engine block (on a plate).

As discussed in other threads, your engine may have been swapped out at some point so you may find the plate is missing or doesn't belong to the crawler. Be aware of that before you start using the serial number to order parts.
(1) JD Straight 450 crawler dozer with manual outside blade; (2) JD 2010 diesel crawler loaders; (1) JD 2010 diesel dozer with hydraulic 6-way blade; (2) Model 50 backhoe attachments, misc. other construction equipment
