Hi everyone i'm going to start working on my 40c and i was wondering is there a master pin for the tracks and how to find it.Thanks you everyone for your help Mark

Yes, there should be a master pin in the track chain. You should be able to identify it by just looking at it. It will appear a little different than the pressed in pins, as it will have some sort of a retainer to keep it from backing out of the chain on one side, and will have a head similar to a bolt or rivet on the other side.

I think if the tracks have been repinned and bushed the master pin may have been updated to one that does not use a keeper. The pin will just have a dipple in the middle of it.

try the easy way first, just look for the one pin with hammer marks
440icd/602/8a,,440icd/831/ripper,,440icd/831/3pt.,misc. 440 parts, i have 5 of these now, but i can stop anytime
