Bob,
Value is so subjective that it is really hard to even begin to guess. If you bought it from someone else, you know what you paid for it, that might give you somewhat of an idea if it was in the not too distant past. Another avenue would be E-bay, then you would have people bidding on it.
Good luck,

Bob-

I can only add it is worth what someone is will to pay for it. In selling some old stuff arround the shop for work I've been suprised lately what people will pay for some items. Also it appears that lately Deere items have gone through the roof. That being said I'd price it high and see what people offer in the area. You may be suprised. I recently sold an old work van for much more than I thought it would bring. Just my humble $.02 worth.

Bob,

Two batteries? Are you sure you don't have a 450?

A 1968 2010 would be one valuable machine, as none were made. Deere quit making them in 1965.

Get your serial number and go to:

http://www.tractordata.com/td/td59.html

They have a listing of the serial numbers and the years they were used.

Regards,
Brian

thanks for the input on the value, we have a book called the Want Ad I seen one in there about 1 yr ago for $7400.00. I paid $1800.00 and dumped about $1500.00 into it. Brian that site you linked me to was for tractors not crawlers. if any one knows the correct year the serial # is 38151. it is te earlyer model so maybe early 60's. thanks

By the seriel number you give it appears to be a 1963 it what I've read is correct, they only made the 2010 crawler from 62 to 65 I think.

According to the web sites, John Deere used the same serial number range for 2010 wheeled tractors and the crawlers.

38,000 puts the build date around the middle of 1963.

That number would be a late 1966 if it was a 450 so you have to know your model number.Digitup.
