40C need help

Post by Craigk79 » Fri Aug 24, 2012 9:47 pm

I have a JD 40C crawler and Mine is a 4-roller and it's a 1954.
But anyways the track and roller part broke off the triangle shaped pieces broke off. I think It broke because the track was too loose do you have any good idea to get it back on? It's out in the woods. I was thinking maybe a Bucket tractor. Split the track then maybe lift up that peace with rollers with a chain by bolting chain to it. If you have any ideas or helpful hints it would help thanks. By the way I am going to try to work on it tomorrow.

One more thing I need a link for the track one side broke and
With the pins that hold the track together are those pressed in there?

Craig
