will a 420 winch and pto fit a 440 ?

Yes would be the general answer, but if the winch is PTO driven, then I am not sure, as no way to tell what type of mounting it uses. Although if it is a PTO shaft driven winch, then most likely the mount is just standard pieces of steel that can be cut and welded.
