Roller / Idler Grease

Post by foxd » Sat Sep 08, 2012 4:25 am

I have read several times in different posts that corn head grease is the grease of choice to use on the old crawlers. Does that include to old 3 roller track systems used on the lindemans, mc's and early 40's? Or the later 40's, 420, 430, etc...? I have heard that the corn head grease is not as thick, I just want to make sure it is not going to leak right back out of the older style rollers and create a big mess. Thanks!

No, on 3 roller stuff, you want a very thick sticky grease that will resist running out.
