Exhaust Manifold
Hello,
I just purchased a 1965 or 1966 JD 350 crawler. It has a 3 cyl. gas engine in it. I am looking for an exhaust manifold for it. The part number is T20170. The manifold and exhaust are cast all in one and it has six ports to it. The one in it is broke apart and cannot be repaired. Any help in finding one would be greatly appreciated. I live in Appleton, WI and purchased the crawler from a guy in the southern part of the UP. Thanks.

There are nickle welding rods made for repairing cast iron. You would need a jig that will hold the holes the way it is mounted. Then bury the jig and part to be welded in a coal fire till its a dull red. lightly grind it out. Weld it, then put back in that coal fire and stop feeding air ( bury the fire with sand).
Come back in 36 hours and casting repaired!

Thanks for the info. but I think it will be a real hard fix because it is not just a simple crack to fix. The end part that goes in the last exhaust port is broke right off along with the part that goes up into the exhaust pipe. Also there are pieces that are missing leaving some sizable gaps to fill in. It would be much easier to find a replacement if possible.
Deere is the only source I know of.

Since Lavoy does not have it you can try calling some crawler boneyards to see if they have the manifold, but no guarantee it will be in any better shape. Many can ship so no limitation with distance.

Exhaust Manifold
I just received my salvaged exhaust manifold and it fits perfect and was in real good shape. So it looks like that problem is solved. I also want to get a service manual for it. I cannot find the serial number on it. It is supposed to be down by the seat but I think the tag fell off or it got worn off. It is either a 1965 or 1966 and I am wondering if there is any major differences between the two years. There is a serial number on the motor if that would help in determine the exact year of it. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
