Alright well I had an issue with my right side clutch slipping so pulled the inspection covers and started adjusting. When I backed the bolt pictured out it snapped so now I cannot tighten that sleeve. Normally I would drill the bolt and use an extractor to get it out, but as you guys know there is very poor access.
Any advice?
FYI this needs to hold up until fall/winter when I am going to tear down the tractor and service the steering clutches, gauges and hydraulic lines as well as paint the machine.

Right Side (side with slipping and NOW broken bolt):

Can you get in with a right angle drill and jobber bit?

Will an angle drill fit?
Put a small C-clamp in its place.
A muffler shop will have a clamp that they use for manifold to exhaust bolts when the flange breaks.

I am thinking you can remove the shaft without a lot of further disassembly. Remove the steering clutch handle, key, unbolt the cluch and brake actuator / keys?? and pound it outwards.
Then you can drill the bolt out in a press or vice.

I don't think I can get a drill in there the way it is. I am thinking it needs to come out or use something like a c-clamp to hold it over till winter.
Lavoy...you can also get the seals for the pinion gear/shaft toward the middle of the tractor? It smells like oil and there is a little residue in there, so I assume those need to be done over the winter.

A LITTLE CRUDE! Squeeze it as tight as possible with c/clamp, then run a bead of weld to hold it until you tear it down. You can either use a torch,( I don't recommend) or grind it when your ready to take apart. gregjo1948
