Engine does not have enough power

Post by frozendozer » Fri Jul 17, 2015 2:15 pm

Hello all

I ran my jd440icd out of fuel. When I added fuel and got it running ithe engine did not rev up to normal operating seed. I noticed that the fuel pump was leaking. Could this be the issue? Is there a way to hook up an electric pump? Is there any one that has done it already?

You may have drawn dirt into an injector and the injector isn't spraying a nice mist. Or there's a lot of dirt in the filter since you ran it out and you aren't getting enough flow.

53 series Detroits will suck air at the fuel pump seal and run like crap ....if the pump is leaking then you may be getting air ....put a new shaft seal in they are a very easy pump to work on
