1010c steering brake

Have 1010c gas. I have adjusted the left steering brake once, but after about 4 hrs usage the adjustment seems to have returned to the original
problem of having to put lots of pressure to turn. Question: Is there a
lock on the adjustment to prevent the loss of adjustment? The steering
bands were dry when I adjusted it the first time. Reverse is fine.

Do you have a service manual?
I don't know the 1010 but I have a SM if I can help with some photos or perhaps a pdf of the pages you need...
