440 IC Bit the Dust
at this point, the more- the merrier. might as well make a load of it. buy it all.
you can get hauling bids from U-Ship too.
wait till late winter and you might find a southbound mule skinner that wants out of the cold so bad he'll do it for next to nothing,

Well, I drove down to South Louisiana today, just under 400 miles one way, to check out a JD 450C. It only took about 10 minutes to determine that the owner was overly optimistic on the condition of his machine and also way overpriced. Even the add pic was an early one when the paint was still good. Needless to say, I declined the deal, left and went looking for a place to get good bowl of seafood gumbo instead. I found that, it was delicious, so that made the trip worth while.
I'll keep looking for a nice 450C but next time I'll see if I can hire a JD mechanic in the area to check the machine for me.

What the heck, I'm ready for another roadtrip. I talked to Craig and finalized the deal on the 440 front section so I'll head up that way maybe next week. It's only 1750 miles and I've never been in that part of the country. Might as well go before the snow starts flying.
Still looking for a nice 450C or better.

Don: Good time to visit New England; you'll be here near peak foliage season. If you hit it right, it's pretty spectacular. Take a side trip to the White mountains for some good viewing, or head west through Vermont and New York on your return trip to see what else Mother Nature has to offer. Give me a call and I'll share some of my maple syrup with you. PM me if you chose to take a side trip through Vt. Paul

You will like the sights up there its the best part of the state if you like cold weather If it was closer I would help you load it.. but its 4 hours north of me... Beep when you go past my house on your way He seemed like a straight shooter and not a novice on these dozers. Oh ya if your still looking for a 450C and have room I can help you load mine.
