Going try to get my Dad's MC running this weekend. It ran good but has been parked several years (Massachusetts). I assume the battery is shot. As I live in Maryland, the only thing I have to go by are pictures. The battery in it is a 58-2 650amp. That looks to be a 12 volt. How likely to that to be correct?
Just trying to figure if I need to buy a 6 volt to go up with (can take a 12 volt out of his truck). No I can't just ask him.
MC Battery??

Hi,
They were all Group 1 six volt. But....many have been changed to 12 volt....often poorly.
So....there is no way to say what you have. 50/50 chance of it being either.
One thing I must point out: Be very careful as these machines stick the battery under the gas tank. They are top post, so it is very easy to short the battery to the gas tank. Which tends to burn a hole in the tank so you get to have both a battery and a gas tank fire at the same time.

For spark plug wires you need to use wire wires not radio suppression wires. Get a better spark to the plugs this way.
