1010 crawler tracks - cleats or grouser options
Re: 1010 crawler tracks - cleats or grouser options
Do you have a loader or dozer? Grousers on a loader are very hard on stuff. If you have a dozer, grouser stock can be bought and welded on, or replace the pads with new.

loader. mine has the oem bucket ... i read that with the added weight from a bucket full grousers can actually add serious strain on the rollers .... but im not sure if that was correct so i posted here.
i am worried about traction in muddy or loose hillside dirt, so i was actually wanting to add pads or something that wont damage the undercarriage

As Lavoy stated, grousers will be harmful to the undercarriage. All the weight out front with the weight of the bucket and the payload in the bucket, tries to stand the machine on its toes. Then when turning, while standing on its toes, grousers are having to twist the soil under them. Very tough on the front idler and roller. The extra weight, just going straight, is tougher on the bearings in the rollers and front idlers.
