440 crawler rock guards

Post by Hambrick28 » Thu Mar 23, 2023 7:37 am

So I have made a new set of rock guards for my machine and was wondering if there is any interest in others having them made for their machine.

I may be interested as currently have one that is pulled a bit out of wack and not straight. What price are we talking about and are these the same thickness as originals? Thx, Brad

they are not hard to make if you have a drill press , torch and welder. a saw makes it even nicer.
i made a set thats tougher than original, a little longer,
used a thicker material and reinforced at the attaching points, made them with more sprocket/idler coverage and roller coverage.
these days the cost of raw material is up,up,up.
the biggest problem is getting the old bolts out.
i had my track frames off to do it.
you can start cursing them bolts now....
440icd/602/8a,,440icd/831/ripper,,440icd/831/3pt.,misc. 440 parts, i have 5 of these now, but i can stop anytime
