Gearmatic 8A winch manuals

Does anyone have a service or parts manual for the Gearmatic 8A winch and if so, is it possible to get a copy of them. I have a winch and would like to see if I can get it working. Thanks. Bruce

Thanks for accepting me. We own a JD 440IC with a gearmatic winch on it. We got the crawler operational but need help or information on the winch. Iam looking for a service/parts manual for the gearmatic 8A winch. I am willing to pay for the manual but I have had no luck in finding one. Any information would be greatly appreciated. The crawler is an important part of income four uys.

I'm willing to send a .pdf copy of the Gearmatic 8a/g winch manual to anyone who sends me an email and asks. For free. I was in touch with Paccar years ago and asked about copyright infringement. The person I spoke with then said that they didn't care that I shared. Paul

I too am looking for a Gearmatic 8A winch manual. Just got a 440 and it came with the 8A winch - which incidentally was manufactured about 20 minutes from where I lived for a couple of decades.

Two things:
- Just shoot me a note to let me know if you do send it as I have my spam filter set pretty tight on my email, and
- I'm more than happy to pay whatever is reasonable, and can use eTransfer or Paypal to transfer funds.

Wow! "Twas the night before Christmas . . ." literally. And this is definitely one of the best Christmas presents I've ever received. I've wanted to tackle this winch for the past year, but just didn't know where to start. Huge thanks for your wonderful response and link.
I've just spent the last 20 minutes downloading and printing the file and placing the pages in protective sleeves in a 3-ring binder.
And it's off to the shop I go . . .
