That would work if the threads are the same as the shaft, but it does not look original to me. I think the shape is different, let's see what others say.

The OEM gauges have gotten pricey recently, over $100. I know a guy that is making new ones, but not much cheaper. Aftermarket gaues that say Deere, but are not the correct scipt and face style are readily availalbe, and fairly reasonable. Aftermarket that is a generic gauge I normally have on hand.
