Nice looking machine. Seems to have found a perfect new home. Michael will probably still want his own car/truck in a few years.

It's home and off the trailer. First thing I did was steam clean it, got all of the muck and sludge removed then began the process of firing it for the first time. Cleaned up the fuel tank, put in fresh gas, flushed the lines and the carb bowl, cleaned the points and ensured we had spark, checked the oil, filled with water and antifreeze and put in a battery and switched on the ignition and ....pulled the starter button and ......nothing. Pull pull pull...nothing, no voltage drop no load...starter not working..oh well. Let's try the hand crank. 25 years sitting in a barn and after I primed it, cranked a few revs with plugs out and ATF in the cylinders to ensure a little lube, put in the plugs and cranked and after about 30 seconds we had puffs of blue and fire in the cylinder...a quick rest and cranked again and she fired...sputtered...kept firing, slowly, chuffing out the ATF and over rich mixture and slowly....caught up with itself and away she went. Ran it for 2 minutes to ensure water was circulating and we had oil pressure...walked around it and found the genny was charging at 10 amps and we had mid range oil pressure on the gauge. :D :D

So she runs great, needs a good tune up, and the blade goes up/down and it idles quite nice. Didn't try moving it as the tracks were full of tools...more later this week.
