Will a 624 blade off a 1010 fit a 440?

Post by wwattson » Sun Aug 20, 2006 11:58 am

There's a 624 blade, mounting hardware, and cylinders available in Ohio. Just wondering if it will fit a 440ICD. Added problem of control valve and hydraulics as it does appear to have any but I haven't gotten that far yet in thinking it through. Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated.

No idea other than a 1010. Here are some pictures he sent me of the blade.

That is what I wondered, no problem, it will bolt right on. You should be able to use your existing hyd system unless you are removing a loader and putting a blade on.

Thanks Lavoy. I'm in the final stages of a deal on a 440ICD and it does presently have a loader on it. I was thinking it was probably easier to get a two-way valve for the straight blade and keep the four-way controls coupled to the loader when I pull it off but I hadn't started working on the second part of the problem yet as I need to get the deal closed and the crawler home. Should get that done in the next couple of weeks.

I wanted to thank you and the others that commented for the advise on shopping a 440. I'm mechanically inclined but don't know much about crawlers and it helped me a bunch with the ones I've looked at. The one I settled on was the most complete and best undercarriage but it's still far from perfect.

I love projects so this should be fun.
